Victoria's Secret 2013 Fashion show lives up to the hype
Victoria's Secret annual lingerie extravaganza is by far the hottest and most iconic fashion show that exists on the planet.
The world literally stops breathing to drool over the bevy of world-famous supermodel Angels saunter down the runway, wearing sizzling new lingerie designs and accompanied by performances by top singing artists.
The event was filmed yesterday at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York, - and will be televised on Tuesday, Dec. 10 on the CBS Television Network - and this year’s fashion show saw the Angels out in all their glorious beauty for the world's most celebrated fashion show.
The various themes of show included Snow Angels, Shipwrecked, Parisian Nights, Pink Network and Birds of Paradise themes and saw models of the likes of Adriana Lima , Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Cara Delevingne, Constance Jablonski, Doutzen Kroes, Elsa Hosk, Erin Heatherton Bubley, Hilary Rhoda, Izabel Goulart, Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Lily Donaldson, Lindsay Ellingson, Magdalena Frackowiak, Maryna Linchuk, and Sara Sampaio (missing of course was Miranda Kerr who is no longer on the brand's roster) do what they do best.
This year the stunning Candice Swanepoel was chosen to open the 18th edition of the fashion show and wear the $10 million Royal Fantasy Bra.
The Dream Angels Demi Bra and matching belt was designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret by world-renowned jeweler Mouawad.
The set is adorned with more than 4,200 rubies, blue and yellow sapphires and diamonds hand-set in 18-karat gold, and boasts a 52-carat pear-shaped ruby drop centerpiece.
The Royal Fantasy bra has already been worn by Tyra Banks, Gisele Bündchen, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Claudia Schiffer.
This year there were live performances from singer/songwriter and seven-time Grammy winner Tayor Swift who wore a Union flag-print outfit to go with the British Invasion theme for the opening, and she closed the show with her hit song, "I Knew You Were Trouble".
Other artists included Fall Out Boy, A Great Big World and Neon Jungle who are fresh from their tour with Jessie J.
