Victoria Beckham presents her 2014 S/S collection at New York Fashion Week
For Spring/Summer 2014, Victoria Beckham designed a very simple and minimal collection that she presented to the world during the New York Fashion Week.
The color palette for the 2014 S/S collection was basically monochromatic, white and black garments with some dove grey thrown in and splash of fuchsia here and there to brighten up a few of the outfits, and the few patterns present were geometric.
The silhouettes were quietly chic and elegant, and the designs were slightly more ‘mannish’ than Beckham’s usual designs, perfectly detailed, and featured tailored mid-calf trousers and combined with loose jackets with three quarter raglan sleeves, but there was also a long vest and bomber jacket for a more casual and sporting look.
Beckham was wearing a pair of these comfortable but classy mid-calf trousers when she came out to take her applause at the end of the show.
The asymmetrical belted dresses were combined white pleats, petticoat style, and some of the dresses showed some delicate transparencies as did the shirts, while some of tops with featured a bib motif.
Victoria Beckham briefly said about her new collection: "I still love a fitted dress, but there is another side of me that wants to feel at ease and relaxed as well as sharp and feminine."
Just 24 hours after showing her main line, Beckham also presented her new Victoria, Victoria Beckham range that was a little more colorful and had more printed designs.
Sitting on the front row was hubby David Beckham who was holding the couple’s little girl Harper, and apparently the editor of Vogue, Anna Wintour who was also present, may have decided to feature the little girl on the cover of their December issue after shafting former Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, due to the singing star's ‘twerking’ performance with Robin Thicke at the VMA’s last month.
