Victoria and David Beckham clean out their closets to donate to charity
One way to clear out a bulging closet with outdated clothes and shoes you never wear anymore is to donate them to charity organizations that provide funding and aid to help the more unfortunate.
The catastrophic typhoon Haiyan - one of the strongest ever recorded - hit the Philippines earlier this month leaving widespread devastation in its wake with at least five thousand dead and more than four million people homeless.
Following these types of disasters relief aid goes into full gear and everyone, including celebrities, go into the social solidarity mode like Victoria and David Beckham who cleaned out their closets to help raise money in a generous effort to help the Filipino people.
The celebrity couple donated on Friday (22 November) thousands of pounds worth of their designer clothes and shoes (20 boxes full) to the British Red Cross shop in the Kensington and Chelsea district.
Victoria posted the above picture of the mountain of shoes that she donated on her Twitter account captioning it: "Big clear out of my shoes, on sale tomorrow in aid of@BritishRedCross #ShopDrop x vb."
People lined up for hours outside the shop to get their hands on a least a pair shoes or boots worn by the fashion designer, that saw couture names like Jimmy Choo, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce & Gabbana and Manolo Blahnik sold at bargain prices.
Other items on sale was the matching Dickensian outfits that the couple wore at the Venice Film Festival in 2006, but also suits, but also numerous dresses, coats and jacketsworn by Beckham and his wife.
