Versace designs for H&M
Despite dismissing top designers collaborating with high-street brands, Donatella Versace has put aside her fears (possibly aided by the sight of filthy lucre), and has agreed to launch a range of women and menswear at H&M. Rather than designing a diffusion line though, the Versace clobber will be from the archives of Gianni's collection, giving high street shoppers the chance to own some of the classic Versace designs from the 80s. The line has been named the 'Iconic Collection.'
Donatella gushed to Vogue, 'I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching its wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.'
H&M's creative designer told the magazine, 'Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant - everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.'
