Vanessa Paradis is the new face of H&M Conscious collection campaign
It seems that clothing brand H&M is sparing no expenses at all for its campaigns. After hiring stylish singer Lana Del Ray and sexy icon David Beckham, it's now the turn of the stunning Vanessa Paradis.
The French singer and actress will be the new face of H&M Conscious Collection, the brand's environmentally sustainable label. Vanessa revealed: "I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe. I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes."
The Conscious collection has been launched by H&M to provide customers with eco-friendly garments, which are at the forefront of both fashion and sustainability. The clothes are made with organic materials, such as cotton and hemp, that does not need pesticides to grow, or water-based adhesives and also recycled materials, like recycled polyester and Tencel.
The beautiful 40-year old, who has two children with heartthrob actor Johnny Depp, has previously starred in campaigns for Chanel's Coco perfume and Rouge Coco lipstick and also for Chanel handbags. The photoshoot sees Paradis wearing the latest pieces of H&M Spring 2013 collection: a short yellow dress with raffled edges and military green embellished jackets with botanical print trousers.
On 25th March along with the new Conscious collection H&M is also launching a new initiative to collect used clothes from its customers in exchange for discount vouchers. The campaign aims at preventing garments to end up in the bin and promote the idea of donating them to reuse or recycle. Each customer is limited to hand in no more than two bags of clothing per day, which will be converted in vouchers of up to 15% off.
