November is about to get about fifty gazillion times more exciting as Gap prepares to launch its new collaboration with Valentino. After the enormous success of the H&M and Lanvin launch last week, designer collaborations will have a lot to live up to, but this one certainly has enormous promise.
Valentino’s creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli told the Telegraph 'we are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this project…Valentino and Gap synthesise the current trend of combining luxury with basics. We wanted to mix traditionally high-end elements with Gap's celebrated street style, to create couture looks with a contemporary attitude.'
The collection features seven items, all with the unmistakable Valentino edge but at a fraction of the cost. It goes on sale on November 27th from a limited number of Gap stores worldwide. UK buyers should head to Gap’s flagship store on Oxford Street in London and we suggest you take a sleeping bag and get there early!
