London Fashion Week really hit its stride today as major labels including Burberry, Erdem, Christopher Kane and Giles all showed at venues across the capital, meaning it was Celebsville-Tennessee on the city streets as A-listers flocked from show to show, casually swatting away those pesky paparazzi.
According to Vogue, there were tears during Erdem and Christopher Kane’s shows (due to the sheer beauty, not the pain of wearing heels all day) whilst Burberry had stars on and off the catwalk which you’ll have no doubt already seen if you follow the brand on Twitter.
Colour seems to be the order of the day for spring/summer 12, with many designers opting for a palette of ice cream shades. Mark Fast went for bold tropical colours in his collection, which had a front row that included Liberty Ross, Tallulah Harlech and Eliza Doolittle. Over at Christopher Kane it was all about beautiful florals, watched over by the likes of Kanye West, Jade Parfitt and Erin O’Connor.
Erdem kept to his signature prim and floral look but with a little more edge as seen in a pair of super sexy hot pants. Model Erin O’Connor told Vogue: ‘It was like a summer garden, so jubilant. I love that he’s able to create a soft trench with that level of detail and intricacy - and that everything he does is so soft and feminine. I want to pour myself into everything – except maybe the hot pants, that would be illegal.’
