Style advice for Autumn 2012
The great British summer is finally over, so now it's time to bring out the sweaters and autumn coats. But if you still want to look fashionable in the colder months, here four of our upcoming trends and style advice for Autumn 2012 to help you out before you throw away the sunglasses and summer dresses.
Take a leaf out of the rockstar book and opt for the leather look this autumn. But if you really want to define the upcoming autumn season, think beyond traditional leather biker jackets and seek out vests, pants or even leather-look trousers to complete the autumn look.
Winter white shades
One of our top style advice for Autumn 2012 is to look out for cream, ivory and white shade knitwear to keep you cozy all through to the winter months. Cream jumpers and knitwear also work well with leather-look (or real leather if you go all out) jackets and patent leather black trousers.
Jumpsuits came about in the late 70s and are still a popular fashion item today. The brilliant thing about jumpsuits is they're suitable for almost any season, especially autumn when it's a mix between not too cold yet not too hot temperatures. Jumpsuits can be surprisingly versatile and are a must-have in any autumn collection.
Rust and burgandy colour accessories
Rust coloured accessories, such as a handbag and equestrian style footwear, are a popular Autumn 2012 trend and go great with most ivory colours and other autumn leather looks. Burgandy is also a vibrant colour to match with most autumn outfits, with deep hues of red working well with the red of the passing season's shades.
Black and blue
As well as burgundy and rust colours, our style advice for Autumn 2012 is also to try out blue and black shades, popular in the New York fashion scene at the moment. Layered look clothing and bold blue with black can help colours blend more, but navy, blue and black accessories (such as scarves) can also work well with any autumn outfit.
