Romeo Beckham is Burberry's next cutest model
Another member of the Beckham family has made his début in the fashion world, in proper royal style. Romeo, the second eldest son of David and Victoria has stole the limelight at his first photo shoot. The ten year-old was chosen by Burberry chief creative officer Christopher Bailey as the star of the brand's new campaign for Burberry Spring Summer 2013 collection.
It was highly expected from young Beckham to begin a career in fashion very soon. In January 2010, during an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Posh opened her heart about her children, describing Brooklyn as a teenager struggling with the insecurities of his age, Cruz as a little dancer and Romeo as a young ... fashionista: "He loves fashion. He likes to go out in a suit with a bowler hat…he's a real fashion lover."
Burberry has dressed the child model with a stylish trench coat and umbrella, while Romeo has brighten the photo shoot with his infectious smile – Victoria watch and learn!. The budding fashion star appears in a short promotional video alongside world famous models such as Cara Delevingne, Charlotte Wiggins, Edie Campbell, Charlie France and Alex Dunstan.
Romeo's fashion début was captured by world class photographer Mario Testino and was given the 'blessing' by Christopher Bailey, who described him as “a joy to work with... (he) really stole the show”. Burberry creative officer also added “This season’s campaign lights up with the infectious energy of an amazing young cast of old and new Burberry family...We had such fun shooting the campaign and I think that comes through in the images which really reflect the upbeat spirit of the collection."
We are expecting to see more from the cute and promising Romeo, maybe next time he will bring the whole family along!
