UK ring size guide
Buying a ring can sometimes be downright difficult especially if you don’t know your size. It is even more complicated if you’re buying jewellery online because standards used by sellers are not the same. For example, ISO standards define ring sizes based on the inner circumference and measured in milimetres. The UK, Ireland and Australia use alphabet sizing. We show you the ring size guide in the UK for easy comparison.

How to find your size
If you can’t fit rings in the store, there is another way to measure your size using a string or piece of paper. Make sure that you measure your finger’s diameter and circumference at room temperature. Ever noticed how thick or slim your fingers are when it’s hot or cold? Higher temperatures make fingers swell while cold temperatures constrict their size. There are also downloadable measuring tapes which you can print and use to find your size.
The table below is an indication of the ring size guide for the UK. Bear in mind that ring sizes can change due to seasons, body changes, and other factors.
Buying a ring should be a smooth process provided you know your size. Keep in mind that having your fingers measured professionally is still the best option, but if this is not possible, the ring size guide should be able to help. The size of the fingers also changes over the seasons, time of day, and even compared to body weight.
