Givenchy's creative director Ricardo Tisci, the man widely tipped to take over from John Galliano at Dior, has given an interview denying the rumours and expressing his sympathy for Galliano.
Tisci's name has been circulating gossip-ville for some time now, with some speculating that he had already secretly moved into the Dior top job. So it seems he has decided to put the record straight in an interview for Interview magazine with none other than Donatella Versace. No one messes with Donna V, so we reckon he'll be telling the truth here.
Tisci tells Versace: 'Sincerely, I feel sorry for John. But for this moment I am leaving aside all the gossip of 'I am going here, I am going there,' because there is a lot of gossip circulating and there always will be. I will tell you, in this moment, I am very happy at Givenchy and it is a moment in which I am bringing the game to the next level.'
Meanwhile, Galliano is due to stand trial in Paris next week.
