'Plus size models are a joke' claims Macdonald
In a bid to whip up some publicity for the new series of 'Britain's Next Top Model', balding designer Julien Macdonald has made some idiotic, catty comments about the fortunes of so called 'plus sized' models.
Discussing the likelihood of a curvier model winning the show, Julien says: , 'This is a serious show. A catwalk model is a size six to eight. You can’t have a plus size girl winning – it makes it a joke.'
But Crystal Renn, a voluptuous model who starred in the recent Chanel show hit back, saying: 'The fashion world needs to change. Women on the street don't relate to all this talk of plus sizes, and it creates an 'us and them' mentality, which leads to comments like the ones Julien Macdonald has made.'
Hear hear, Crystal - but why didn't you mention the Macdonald hair? Such an easy target...
