Pinch the shirt in the middle and twist until it resembles a disk with visible ridges. These twists are going to help make an interesting pattern when the dye is applied.

Do the same to the sleeves till you have a crumpled heap in from of you. Secure the disk with strings or put rubber bands all over the sides.

Put newspapers on your working table so that it will be protected from the stains of dyes. If you have plastic covers, these are even better so you avoid staining the surface or getting it wet.

Wear gloves and prepare the dyes. If you're using a dye kit then all you have to do is add a bit of water and you're good to go. If mixing your own dyes, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

After you are satisfied with the amount of dye you squirted on the shirt, put it in a plastic bag . This will allow the dye to sit in the fabric. Leave it on for 6-8 hours or longer. The longer you let it sit, the brighter the colours will become.
