Paris & Lindsay: anyone for a goodie bag?

It's fashion's dirty little secret; pretend stars are so enamoured of the sartorial talents of the major labels that they're practically fighting to sit on the front row at fashion week. In reality, so dependent are they on celeb endorsement that brands will pay thousands to guarantee that big stars show up.

Website fashionista.com reveals, through its secret industry sources, how much the big labels will pay the celebrities du jour to sit and preen on their front row. The list makes fascinating, if rather upsetting reading: Rihanna and Beyonce make a cool $100 000 to sit down for a couple of hours, and watch pretty ladies walk past them. Unfair! The rundown also demonstrates (as if we needed evidence) the fickle world of showbiz – poor Lindsay and Paris, this must make pretty embarassing reading...
