A Quick Look at the newly released Nike Magista
Recently released in Spain, the Nike Magista is a unique boot that is bound to get much attention. Following its competitors recent release of the Adidas Samba Primeknit, this boot has large shoes to fill. Let us take a quick look at what the Magista has to offer its potential consumers.
Nike Magista at a Glance
Goodbye CTR360. Hello Nike Magista. The outgoing model is a much loved boot by many. Some claim that the CTR360 is being replaced by one that does not meet the same high quality. The Magista has many new changes that might not please some, but could be transforming for others.
One of the biggest changes is the new addition of the Dynami Fit Collar. It is an integrated ankle sock that is merged onto the boot. The idea is that it will allows movement as one unit while also protecting it.
Like many of the Nike runners, the Nike Flyknit is incorported into the Magista. This techonology keeps the boot feeling extremely light and breathable with minimum waste.
The outer layer consists of a 3-d knit upper texture which helps with controlling the ball. It allows the player to feel the ball and have more control over it. The NikeSkin lies on top of the knit keeping the boot waterproof. This skin is less than 0.1 mm thick and is melted on to the knit.
The UK sizew 8 boot weighs 204 grams and it has conical studs with 360 degree traction, allowing for full movement. It claims to be extremely durable, but only time will tell.
The bright yellow and pink color is most likely not that appealing for many consumers, so fingers crossed they will offer new colors once they go on sale on May 22nd. For those that can't wait though, you can pre-order them on April 29th.
The Nike Magista is a 2014 Nike World Cup boot and will be worn this summer by various Nike sponsored players such as Andres Iniesta, Thiago Silva, and David Luiz. It should be an interesting season full of colorful knitted boots on the pitch. Hopefully they are as good as they claim to be!
