Natalia Vodianova stars in Stella McCartney Spring Summer 2013 campaign
Stella McCartney has teamed up with her favourite model, Natalia Vodianova and two of the best photographers in the industry, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott to produce the campaign for her latest Spring Summer 2013 collection. The line is fresh, young and features some signature McCartney's pieces, such as the All-in-one, redesigned with brand-new colours.
Next season collection is all about playing with shapes and layers: oversized jackets, blouses, dresses combined together without looking any clunky. The use of modern fabrics and skilfully half tailored garments bring to life a line that is definitely contemporary, sporty, yet feminine. The colours remind us of a crisp summer morning, apple green, white, bright orange and yellow, bring a breath of fresh air to the collection.
Natalia Vodianova stars in Stella McCartney's campaign, resting her graceful figure on rough-looking Styrofoam cut-outs, and sporting the most iconic pieces of the collection. The angular All-in-one jumpsuit has been specifically crafted for summer in delicate white broderie anglais, which is the most elegant and lightest fabric of next season. The same has been used for trousers and linear shaped tops.
McCartney embraces an idea of comfort for her latest Spring Summer 2013 line, so hugging, soft jumpers and cropped trousers are designed to guarantee maximum movement. The designer has also banned high-heels, preferring Perspex flat-form wedge sandals, feminine, but highly wearable. "I wanted to focus on clothes that can genuinely be worn everyday " Stella said and from what we have seen so far, she has perfectly achieved her goal.
In the campaign premières the new Bailey Boo cross-body bag in faux python, a great choice of material for the environmentally conscious designer, who can always deliver fantastic eco-friendly, high-quality products. The focus is also on the new tortoise sunglasses and frames along with a magnificent oversized orange pleated dress, with organza shift.
