Naomi Watts stunning in white Versace
Naomi Watts strutted down the red carpet for the world premiere of her new movie 'Diana' dressed in a sexy white Versace gown at The Odeon Leicester Square in London last Thursday evening.
The British-Australian actress wore the stunning Versace gown, a subtle choice that no doubt paid tribute not only to the late Princess, but also to one of her favorite designers, and her friend – both of who tragically passed away in 1997 - just months apart.
The dress with its body-skimming cut featured a long side slit, and asymmetric neckline with keyhole details – said to be inspired be Donatella Versace’s Fall 2013 collection and Resort 2014 collection - and Watts paired the dress off with a pair of black Christian Louboutin‘Hyper Prive’ black peep-toe satin platform pumps and a black Edie Parker clutch.
Watts topped off the look with a beautiful pair of Chopard chandelier earrings - the brand's jewelry was featured throughout the film, and pulled up messy hairdo – which must be the latest rage in hair styles for the red carpet, as Scarlett Johansson also turned up for this week’s Venice International Film Festival to premiere “Under The Skin”, with a very similar hairdo minus the side bang.
The movie directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel follows the last two years of Princess Diana's life, including the end of her marriage to Prince Charles and her relationship with Pakistani Dr. Hasnat Khan( played by Naveen Andrews) until the ‘People’s Princess’ untimely death in the car crash in Paris.
The movie premiered just days after the tragic incident regained the news headlines, with Scotland Yard assessing the credibility of new information relating to the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, with allegations that they were murdered by a British soldier.
So far British critics have shot down the biopic, but as usual it will be the paying audience who will make or break the movie..
