Moschino Cheap and Chic Pre-Collection 2014 Spring and Summer
Moschino Cheap and Chic is giving us a peek of their 2014 Spring and Summer pre-collection which is inspired by the Swinging Sixties.
After their 2013 S/S collection which was a trip back to the 70's, the colorful Italian ready-to-wear fashion brand takes back a decade earlier to captivate us with a modern hippie style with reminders of the days of the counterculture movement of passive resistance, non-violence, and social permissiveness fused together with marvelous contemporary accessories and materials.
Moschino Cheap and Chic’s 2014 Spring and Summer pre-collection is young, bold and lively, full of colors, from pastel pinks, fresh spring greens, light blues and sunny yellows.
The collection includes a number of day and cocktail dresses that are very vintage looking and also includes comfortable maxi t-shirts dresses.
On one, you’ll find the word Peace written in huge black letters, on a white base featuring sunny blue skies and puffy white clouds, while another has a huge white daisy with just a touch of yellow, and there’s also a matching black leather shoulder bag with the same daisy designs.
You’ll see romantic mini lace A-line dresses that wouldn’t have looked out of place on Peggy Lipton in the ‘60s TV show Mod Squad, or flowing maxi dresses with embroidery, wide cropped pants and trousers with tie-dye or flower prints, and also elegant and feminine pastel colored pied de poule jackets with lace sleeves and matching print pants and skirts.
This 2013 spring we’ve already seen matching patterned shorts and top sets from many designers, and Moschino proposes the trend again for next season. You can wear this type of outfit as it is or mix and match with other items.
Moschino Cheap & Chic handbags deserve a special mention as they are often ironic, like the bright green garden water can bag, and unusual forms have become a signature trademark of the fashion brand.
