More Gossip, Girls...
Last week it was Gossip Girl Blake Lively grabbing the fashion headlines by getting friendly with Karl Lagerfeld and becoming the new face of Chanel. This week it is her co-star Leighton Meester's turn to bask in the style icon spotlight, with the announcement that she is the new face of Missoni.
Meester stars in the Italian label's Spring/Summer 2011 campaign photos, adopting a whole range of looks, from 'Fashionista in a Flea Market' to 'Bling Geek'. Uncharacteristically for a major luxury brand, the images all have a real sense of fun to them and there's not a scowl or pout in sight.
The images was shot by Jeurgen Teller and according to the Daily Mail they are inspired by the artwork for the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The campaign also features Jasmine Guinness with her baby daughter and model Jade Parfitt.
