Madonna to wear Jean Paul Gaultier on tour

Looking back at Madonna’s fashion choices over the years, many people will think of the gold, high corsets and cone bras which became iconic during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990. These pieces were created by cult designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

The pair are collaborating again for her MDNA tour which kicked off on 31st May and runs on until 22nd December. Speaking before the tour she said: "[Gaultier is] kind of godfathering the costumes for a section of my show, with all my dancers. I’m really happy he’s doing it, because he’s such a genius."

Critics have already been raving about her outfits during the show, in particular seeing her in the new and improved conical bra and corset. Jean Paul Gaultier wanted it to be both masculine and feminine - the corset is now black and looks a little like a cage. Seeing Madonna in the new version of the iconic cone bra and corset has been sending fans wild.

But that's not the only thing making waves. Her first night of tour started with controversy when she showed an image of Marine Le Pen with a swastika on her head. Then on 7th June in Istanbul she caused more controversy by exposing her breast on stage and then flashed her bum in Rome.

When her breast came out the fans cheered (or screamed) and images were plastered all over the papers in no time. Fans are divided as to whether the wardrobe malfunction was cringe-worthy or whether it was liberating. Other 53 year old women have since supported her by reconstructing the pose for The Sun.
