Luxury labels test the conscience of buyers

A new audit of sustainability in the world's top 10 companies for luxury brands has uncovered some damning results. The report, called Deeper Luxury was undertaken by the charity WWF and has exposed a high number of luxury jewellers and fashion houses as performing badly when it comes to ethics and the environment.

Why are we unsurprised to hear this?

None of the top 10 labels in the report scored higher than C+ on an A to F scale. Apparently Bulgari and Tod's failed the test altogether and scored an abysmal grade F.

L'Oreal topped the score charts but only  with a C+...hardly grade A performance.
