Kristen Stewart to front Chanel's Métiers d'Art Paris Dallas collection

The rumors that Kristen Stewart was going to be the new face for Chanel were floating around for a time, but they now have been officially confirmed.
The 23-year old actress will be the new face for the French maison in the upcoming ad campaign of the 2013-2014 Métiers d'Art “Paris-Dallas” collection that will be shot by Karl Lagerfeld and released in May 2014.
Stewart follows in the footsteps of Blake Lively, Keira Knightley and Diane Kruger who have also fronted campaigns for the luxury brand, and Tilda Swinton who was the face of last year's Pre-Fall Paris-Edimbourg collection.
The new Métiers d'Art “Paris-Dallas” collection, which is an , Americana-inspired line was unveiled by Karl Lagerfeld during the show that was held last night at the Dallas Fair Park, in Texas, that was also attended by Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and André Leon Talley.
The annual Métiers shows are held in a different locations each year and the looks are inspired by their surroundings, and this year it celebrated the strong bond that linked Coco Chanel to the United States.
Lagerfeld also premiered his film, The Return, that features Geraldine Chaplin in the role of Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel.
The film was imagined, written and directed by Lagerfeld himself.
The actress attended the high profile event wearing a pair of high-waisted, wide-leg orange leather trousers with a grey long-sleeved ‘70s and ‘90s style crop top from the spring/summer 2014 Chanel show with a slate grey sweater casually tied around her waist.
Steward first met Lagerfeld in January 2012 during a photo shoot in Paris, when she was photographed in Chanel Couture and attended Chanel's Autumn/Winter 2013 Haute Couture show last July.
Kristen Stewart also appears in Balenciaga's Florabotanica campaign and she renewed her collaboration with the brand earlier this year.
