Kate Moss and Saskia de Brauw star in Versace's 2013-2014 A/W ad campaign
Kate Moss and Dutch model Saskia de Brauw are the two faces that are fronting this year’s Versace’s Fall and Winter advertising campaign.
The ad campaign that was shot in London in March this year, features Kate Moss– who recently celebrated her 25th year in the fashion business – as she stars for the Italian luxury brand’s 2013-2014 Vunk collection, which references the label’s punk signatures
Moss was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott who were also responsible for shooting mode Saskia de Brauw for the campaign, while the menswear collection is being fronted by Travis Smith, Dominik Bauer and Matt Trethe, who is a new addition to Versace..
The glamorous Moss was asked to drop her signature blond locks to become a brunette, as she posed in the buff – again - and wearing nothing more than an eye-catching and provocative bright yellow and black animal print fur coat - hopefully faux, but we’re not counting on it.
In another image, the famous 39-year old British model is holding three strategically placed red, black and yellow leather Vanitas quilted handbags.
De Brauw is dressed, but much more punk, and more in line with the collection as she also sports a punk inspired hairdo.
In one image she’s wearing a colorful printed tee above super skinny leather pants and holding a luscious red leather bag, while in another shot she is featured wearing a shiny black leather dress - even if looks more latex than leather - that is also part of the signature collection.
Designer Donatella Versace said that the campaign is, “stripped back to the raw power of the clothes and models. There’s no set, no distraction, just the provocation, glamour and attitude of our fashion."
"Mert and Marcus genius transformed Kate and Saskia into these strong Versace characters," she added.
