Issa London capsule collection for Banana Republic
Issa London has teamed up with American label Banana Republic to create a limited-edition capsule collection for this 2013 Pre-Fall.
The collection features nearly 40 pieces and were created by Issa designer Daniella Helayel and is inspired by Banana Republic’s safari heritage and “the spirit of an exotic journey.”
“Issa London’s effortlessly chic style complements our global Banana Republic consumer who is on the go and needs to transition her look seamlessly from day to night,” said Simon Kneen, Banana Republic’s creative director and executive vice president of design.
Issa is known for the wonderful designs and timeless silhouette flattering silk jersey dresses and made headlines when the Duchess of Cambridge donned one of the label's bright blue silk wrap-style dresses for her engagement party in 2010.
After the Duchess of Cambridge wore the London-based label, demand for Issa clothes sky-rocketed and now with the partnership with Banana Republic, everyone can afford this limited-edition collection that “is fit for a queen, but made for you.”
The collection is basically all daywear, and features kimono style, wrap-tie style , pleated and ponte dresses.
The dresses come in a variety of exotic prints, from zebra to leopard, but also range of solid colors to choose from.
There’s also number of colorblock tops and matching cardigans, in a mix of silk and cotton, that features a crew neck and three-quarter length sleeves, and also flattering wrap tops.
African-inspired accessories include gold chain necklaces and bracelets, a stunning nugget and cord necklace, a canvas tote and and envelope leather clutch, and also animal print scarves.
The Banana Republic Issa London collection will be priced at around £25 for a bracelet, to £85 for a dress and £100 for a tote bag.
The collection will be available in 450 Banana Republic stores across the US and around 700 international stores from August 13, as well as online at bananarepublic.gap.com.
