Helena Christensen strips for photoshoot

It looks like a revival of the very famous 90’s supermodels, and a welcome invasion of hot and over 40 year olds, that are back in the limelight, and on the covers of magazines.

After Naomi Campbell opening Versace's haute couture show during the Paris Fashion Week, we now have that green-eyed beauty of Helena Christensen on the cover – holding an albino iguana – on the sixth issue of FutureClaw Magazine.

Photographed by Gregory Derkenne at the the 44-year old Danish model’s home in New York, Christensen shows off a smokin’ hot body in the magainze spread, wearing her own and very revealing, transparent lingerie – but Derkenne also shot her sitting on a chair, completely nude, behind her shoe collection.

Christensen did the styling herself, and in the various photos she’s seen wearing sheer negligees, fuschia colored high waisted panties paired with a tight bolero that do not cover her breasts, but also a strapless black bra, sans panties, with only a black swan figurine covering her genital area.

"There are some of my favorite items in there, yeah. It was interesting to have to go through my own clothes for a shoot. I tend to dress it items that don't necessarily go so well together," said Christensen in the interview.

"I like when style isn't obvious. I always end up feeling more comfortable wearing a combination of something quirky and strange. Maybe style shouldn't so much be defined, but rather felt.”

Christensen isn’t the only former top model to return and grace covers and ad campaigns lately.

59-year-old Christie Brinkley did a swimsuit shoot for Social Life magazine, while Cindy Crawford looked absolutely fantastic as she posed for the cover of the summer 2013 issue of Muse, wearing just an oversize t-shirt.

Christy Turlington is the ‘new’ face for Calvin Klein’s 2013-2014 Underwear campaign and she was photographed by Mario Sorrenti .

Paulina Porizkova at 48 still looks amazing, as she been tweeting photographs of herself in a bikini and she appeared on an ad for Avon's anti-aging, Anew range.
