H&M 2013 -2014 Fall and Winter collection
The new H&M collection for fall-winter 2013-2014 combines the unique style of the popular Swedish brand and the latest fashion trends of season.
So which are the new styles that the ‘low cost’ label is offering to their clients for this Fall season? It is mix of trends that is infused with a tomboy spirit, as H&M described the collection.
You’ll find numerous looks to choose from starting from the coats and jackets, many from menswear, like wool overcoats, with boxy silhouettes, but there are also beautifully tailored shapes with a lot of buttons, very military inspired.
H&M has embraced the motorcycle world, with biker jackets.
There are four different versions available in either faux leather or real leather and one also features a large skull appliqué on the back that wouldn’t look out of place in an outlaw biker gang and and they also have a figure-fit skirtin imitation leather and slim-fit, low-rise trousers in imitation leather with fake pockets at the front and back.
There’s also an inspiration from the sixties, with a little punk thrown in, with mini skirts, but also great figure hugging jersey or lace dresses paired up with sexy over the knee tight boots – that are a must have for boot wear this season, and every designer has inserted them in their shoewear collection.
H&M’s head of design, Ann-Sofie Johanasson, suggests their very chunky oversized sweaters that can be worn over a long dress in order to get a long silhouette, but also recommends their fake fur white with black trim jumper that is extremely versatile and can be worn with anything.
The color palette is predominantly black and navy, with off-white, beige and few red accents.
The new collection that debuted during the Paris Fashion Week will hit around 200 H&M stores worldwide stores on September 5th and is also currently available online.
