The Golden Globes took place last night and, as ever, the fashion stakes were high amongst Hollywood's a-listers. It does seem that almost every year we're told it's a 'return to classic Hollywood glamour' but last night's red carpet really did have even more sparkle than usual.
Anne Hathaway led the way in human mirror-ball glitz, with a beautiful big-shouldered, gold floor length Armani Privé gown and matching gold clutch bag. Angelina Jolie went for Emerald City sophistication in a green Atelier Versace dress (again - floorlength with shoulders, trendspotters), covered in Swarovski crystals and Olivia Wilde took 'fairytale princess' to a whole new level in a voluminous black tulle Marchesa gown, covered in crystals.
Catherine Zeta Jones took to the catwalk in an enormous green ballgown, which the good folk at the Telegraph proclaimed to be a 'hit' but which looks to us rather like some kind of human topiary statue. Everyone's favourite androgyne Tilda Swinton steered clear of the bejewelled look and opted for elegant minimalism in a Jil Sander skirt and shirt ensemble. Helena Bonham Carter flew the misfit flag proudly in a mismatched shoes and screamingly loud dress. See all the Golden Globe looks on OK's site here. Which are your favourites?
