Gallianogate continues

Oh dear. The Galliano controversy continues to grow, with new allegations that his recent rant in a Paris café included the declaration: ‘I love Hitler’.
The Huffington Post reports that a video has surfaced on the internet showing Galliano making anti-Semitic remarks. In the footage on the Sun’s website the designer appears to be saying ‘People like you would be dead. Your mothers, your forefathers, would all be f**king gassed.’ It’s not clear if this footage was taken during last Thursday’s controversial outing or if it’s from an earlier incident. According to the Sun he is speaking to a group of French and Italian people, one of whom was filming him.
The South London-raised designer has now been suspended by Dior, and the Telegraph reports that a Paris police spokesman has confirmed that Galliano is facing criminal charges and would appear in court at a later date. So possibly not quite the start to Paris Fashion Week that he’d been hoping for, then.
