Galliano sacks his lawyer
Poor old John. As if recent events hadn't been tough enough (the controversial statements, the ensuing sacking from both Dior and Galliano, the general public ridicule), it has just been announced that he has sacked his lawyer only days before he is due in court.
The designer was arrested in Paris in February and is due in court on 12 May to be given a final date for his trial, where he would be represented by his attorney Stephane Zerbib. However rumours began to circulate a few days ago that Zerbib had quit as Galliano's lawyer, and now Galliano has hit back by claiming that he himself had fired Zerbib.
According to Contact Music a spokesperson for Galliano claimed Zerbib was 'dismissed as Monsieur Galliano's lawyer some weeks ago following the discovery of apparent irregularities in respect of his firm's administration of Galliano's financial affairs over a number of years.'
