Galliano fires Galliano
John Galliano has been formerly sacked from the label that bears his name today. The disgraced designer was suspended immediately from his role at Dior but it was unknown if he would keep his job at the John Galliano label. This morning, however, it was announced that the board at John Galliano had handed the head design job over to Dior's in-house fashion team, writes Grazia.
The news comes just days after Galliano emerged from his month-long spell in rehab. He is due in court in Paris on May 12 to face charges of public insult, which can carry a fine of 22,500Euros and months in jail.
Galliano has apologised for his comments, saying: 'Anti-Semitism and racism have no part in our society. I unreservedly apologise for my behaviour in causing any offence.'
