Since the 50's Frank Usher, a British fashion house, has been synonymous with glamour and elegance, specialising in special occasion-wear. It has become known as the "mother of the bride" designer. Their classic approach to modern design has secured them a place as one of England's top houses.Their handbags and hats are well renowned as their signature pieces, and their designs never seem to disappoint at race days. Over the years they have built a reputation for designing two or three pieces within a particular style (particularly with handbags), Frank Usher is surely a key designer to look for a "complete outfit".
It was 1944 when "Frank's" first burst on to the scene. They couldn't have picked a worse time, London during wartime austerity and wide-spread rationing was never the best time to launch a new fashion label. During this time all manufacturers where required to use textile trading coupons to operate. After receiving both coupons and a factory shelf name, they where all ready to beginning changing modern fashion forever. They quickly completed their first collection, a stunning collection of high couture, with stunning handbags and majestic dresses which suited the style of the time perfectly. Women loved the way they could purchase couture for high street prices.
During the 60's and 70's London was swinging and Frank Usher handbags where going from strength to strength and they where cited as one of the major influences of the time. In the 80's and 90's the label saw a great increase in their export market.They began exporting to over 50 countries winning several awards.The Frank Usher group has four main labels;
