Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2014 ad campaign stars Eva Herzigova and Bianca Balti
When looking at Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2014 ad compaign, a slice of Sicilian life comes to mind, with its atmosphere, its customs, the people and the stunning and brilliant colors of the Mediterranean.
The love for everything Sicilian has long inspired the creativity of the two designers, (it is Domenico Dolce’s place of birth) whether be it the ceramics and maioliches, marzipan sweets, ancient temples and amphitheaters, gold coins and flowers of the almond tree blossom that are featured in the Spring and Summer 2014 collection.
Before the compaign was launched, Stefano Gabbana posted on Instagram and on the official website dozens of images of common people and numerous families, with the accompanying phrase “The Family is our point reference” and now we understand why.
The family theme is repeated in the Spring and Summer ad campaign that was shot by Domenico Dolce in Taormina, while the art direction was led by co-founder of the brand, Stefano Gabbana.
Gorgeous supermodels Eva Herzigova, a returnee to the label, D&G regular muse Bianca Balti (her daughter Matilde Lucidi, appeared in the Dolce & Gabbana Watches campaign), Catherine McNeil and Marine Deleeuw (who was in a holiday shoot for D&G) star in this new campaign.
While hunky male models Adam Senn, Evandro Soldati, Noah Mills and Tony Ward were reunited for the D&G S/S 2014 ad campaign.
The new spring summer 2014 women's collection was presented during the Milan Fashion Week and embodies the spirit of the Italian luxury label.
The designs are elegant, feminine, and glamorous with a meticulous attention to detail, while the campaign is vivid, sunny and radiant, full of joy and happiness, with the models interacting with bread sellers, fruit stand owners and fishmongers that make up the traditions and charms of the Italian island.
