Diane Von Furstenberg designs second collection for Gap Kids and baby Gap
GAP Kids and Baby GAP are two of the best brands for childrens wear and following her highly first successful partnership with the American brand that was launched last year, fashion designer icon, Diane von Furstenberg has now designed a second collection for Gap.
The spring/summer 2013 DVF for Gap range will being arriving in selected stores and DVF stores globally and will be also be available online at Gap.com starting this month.
Last year’s collection incorporated von Furstenberg's signature bold printsand use of bright colors and even her iconic wrap dress were part of the collection , with pieces aimed just for girls, from newborn up to the age 14, and this 2013 Spring/Summer collection will also feature primary colors, but will also animal prints , African-inspired prints including wild animal graphic tees with tigers, zebras, fauna, flora and exotic butterflies, all casual and fun styles, but super practical as the fashion designer describes her second collection.
"It's very simple," said Furstenberg of her designs. "It's fun, it's colour, it's, 'Oh, I want it because it's so cute', but then it's got to be super practical and super flattering, so that the mothers love it and the children adore it."
“I really loved the challenge of translating my designs into the first DVF for Gap collection. It was so much fun to see little girls wearing the pieces, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with Gap on this second collection,” she continued.
"Diane's iconic prints, signature silhouettes and optimistic colour palettes really resonated with our customers around the world," said Steve Sunnucks, global president of Gap. "After a successful first collaboration, we're thrilled to continue working with Diane and excited to see what she will bring forward in her second DVF for Gap collection."
Since last year’s collection sold out fast, we expect that this second collection will be equally successful.
