Daddy, Can I Have A Fashion Empire?
It was a match made in heaven. She’s a beautiful style icon and he’s the rich, balding, owner of a style empire. But it was announced today that Kate Moss will be stepping down from her role as designer for TopShop, just in time to make desk-space for Philip Green’s 19-year-old daughter, Chloe.
She has earned millions for the company through her designs, with 14 collections under her belt, but Philip has claimed that Kate is just too busy to produce any more, saying 'it has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but they take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more.'
Chloe Green will start training with the company this autumn, and has reportedly been eyeing up a design role at her dad’s place since she was knee-high to a sewing machine. According to the Daily Mail she told one interviewer 'hopefully, one day I might design a ‘Chloe Green at Topshop’ range. I've not really thought it through yet. But I don't think it's asking too much.' Don’t get your hopes up, Chloe – we asked FashionJunkie Snr for a flight to the moon on a rollercoaster made of sugar last year, and we were flatly refused.
