Charlotte's Ultimo no-no

Charlotte Church has said no to the chance to become the new face of women’s lingerie brand Ultimo, reports the Sun.

The Welsh singer explained how Ultimo boss Michelle Mone approached her about fronting a new ad campaign for the lingerie chain, but Charlotte was not keen to strip off for the cameras. She tells the Sun: ‘I say no to almost everything. Michelle Mone asked me to be the face of Ultimo lingerie, but to do a perfume or my own bras would just encourage people to forget what I'm about. Plus, I don't like the idea of getting my kit off. That should be reserved for someone special.’

In other lingerie-related news, Usher has said he would like to launch his own women’s lingerie label, as he is a ‘fan’. He told Glamour magazine: ‘you should know that I'm a fan of lingerie, I mean more than most men. Kiki De Montparnasse and Agent Provocateur – I know all the names. [Jimmy Choo boss] Tamara Mellon is a friend of mine and I keep telling her we have to do something cool together, like design a lingerie line through Jimmy Choo,’

It would be a tough job, Usher, but someone’s got to do it…
