Carolina Herrera, spring / summer 2010

She isn't considered one of the most elegant women in the world by chance: Carolina Herrera's collections perfectly mirror her innate good taste, and her Spring / Summer 2010 collection which debuted at New York Fashion week is no exception.

Exotic and sophisticated, the collection caters perfectly to the chic city woman. Deliciously feminine dresses and suits featured, as well as unexpected combos like shorts paired with long jackets, cinched in at the waist with mosaic engraved belts. Rope, raffia and organza brought to mind Japanese woven baskets, and the warm, natural tones lent a tone of supremely understated chic. Anyone wearing Carolina Herrera next Spring must be prepared to be the centre of attention.
