Cara Delevingne featured on the cover of Miss Vogue
British Vogue’s readers will be in for a double surprise next month as their June issue will also see the debut of Miss Vogue.
The new magazine will target an audience of girls aged 15 to 24 and features on the cover, the model-of the-moment, Cara Delevingne.
Delevingne was already on the cover of the March issue of British Vogue and the 20-year old was the 2012 Model of the Year, and is currently the most sought after and busiest model in 2013.
Cara has starred in numerous Spring ad campaigns from South Korean label Beanpole, Polish fashion label, Reserved, Burberry, DKNY, Pepe Jeans, she's the face for the fashion brand YSL's cosmetics range, called Baby Doll, and she’s also starring in Louis Vuitton's Autumn/Winter 2013 compaign.
The British model on the cover of Miss Vogue is wearing a cropped gray t-shirt and pink top, with a pretty pink skirt, surrounded by pink hortensias photographed by Angelo Pennetta and styled by Vogue fashion editor Francesca Burns.
Vogue said that they chose Delevingne because of “her fun-loving spirit and carefree style perfectly encapsulates what the magazine is about.”.
"I wanted to produce an edition targeted at younger readers, created with your lifestyles in mind," said editor Alexandra Shulman. "As with the mother magazine, the fashion is meant to inspire even if you're a bit short on cash."
The new issue of Miss Vogue was created by Vogue UK's editorial staff and will contain articles like "21 Under 21 Style Idols," featuring Lourdes Leon , Charlotte Free, Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning, Karlie Kloss, and Lindsey Wixson .
Other features include Henry Holland being interviewed by his friend Pixie Geldof, a photo spread with Delevingne. Fashion tips, beauty and make-up suggestions for young girls instead of older women, and some non-fashion content, like teenage girls coping with the angst of sex and drugs, etc.
If the first issue is well-received, British Vogue could publish another one later in the year as another double issue .
