Cannes Film Festival 2013 has kicked off in style, with many international stars crowding the Croisette. Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan was chosen to open this 66th edition, together with 'The Great Gatsby' co-star Leonardo Di Caprio.
At the 'Gatsby' photocall, the two shared the stage with Tobey Maguire and the rest of the cast. Carey Muligan rocked the show in a black dress by Alexander Wang for Balenciaga from the Autumn-Winter 2013/14 collection, paired up with Yves Saint Laurent shoes. Isla Fisher opted for a light-toned Oscar de la Renta cocktail number while Elizabeth Debicki sported a black sleeveless gown.
Lana del Rey - who's featuring in the soundtrack - showed up at the first red carpet of this year's edition wearing a delicate black and white vintage frock as well as Chopard emerald earrings. Green was also Zhang Yuqi's colour of choice for her beautiful dress by russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko.
In the crowd of celebs attending the premiere, Carey Mulligan looked immaculate in a divine white Dior Couture, completed by bright red lips. Julianne Moore also was there in Dior Couture, as well as Zhang Ziyi - with a more androgynous look - and Nicole Kidman, who dazzled in a fresh floreal number from the Spring 2013 collection.
Sonam Kapoor opted for an eye catching dress by Anamika Khanna Couture, while Solange Knowles was caught strutting her stuff in a Stéphane Rolland from the Autumn 2012 Collection. Cara Delevingne stole the show in a sexy but yet elegant black Burberry dress, and Freida Pinto couldn't go unnoticed in her delicious red Gucci gown.
After 'The Great Gatsby', it was the turn of the 'Bling Ring' stars to shine at the Croisette. At the photocall, Sofia Coppola sported an elegant Louis Vuitton cigarette trousers /shirt-with-ribbon combo while Taissa Farmiga opted for an Alberta Ferretti chiffon and tulle minidress enriched by black accessories.
Katie Chang - wearing a striped black and beige dress by Jill Stewart - was in the company of Claire Julien, attending in a Balmain white outfit featuring harlequin weave and trapeze skirt. The two then changed respectively in a Dior and an Emilio Pucci for the movie premiere.
Last but not least, Emma Watson: sophisticated and classy, the British actress chose for the photocall a burgundy dress with feather inserts from Cristopher Kane's autumn 2013 collection, and a Chanel Couture piece for the red carpet.
