By Appointment to the Queen of Hearts
Cheryl Cole has long been a champion of new talent. Aside from her seemingly fairy godmother-esque ability to mentor a winning X Factor contestant, she has regularly supported new designers by wearing their creations on the show. She famously wore a David Koma number on the show last year (and was promptly ridiculed by the tabloid press for its, admittedly quite uncanny, resemblance to a pair of tyres) and last week she was seen wearing a stunning dress by London designer Richard Nicoll.
‘I'm happy that Chezza wore the spring/summer 2010 dress,' Nicoll told Vogue. 'It was a Net-A-Porter exclusive so I'm pleased that she liked the product enough to buy it - I think she looked great.’
We’re looking forward to seeing which other designers get the Cheryl seal of approval in the coming weeks - she has racked up an impressive list of names so far. Fingers crossed she had a chance to do a bit of online shopping while she was bedridden with malaria.
