Burberry recruits fresh young faces for their Spring and Summer 2014 ad campaign
Burberry has released the first images of their Spring and Summer 2014 ad campaign.
After their Trench Kissing 2013-2014 Fall and Winter black and white campaign that was fronted by Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, the luxury English fashion brand has veered towards a younger, fresher and more delicately romantic look.
The new ad campaign was shot by famed Peruvian fashion photographer Mario Testino, and will be launched in January.
This campaign showcases an all-British cast of young and emerging talent to bring out the brand’s new collection.
"There’s a distinctly English mood to this season – a gentle, effortless, romantic quality, brought to life by a cast of bright young British talent,” said Burberry's Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey in the press release.
All the models wear unstructured summer trench coats, and also appear in wrap coats, silk cabans, chesterfields, and soft pastel colored summer knits, all from the brand's Prorsum, London and Brit 2014 spring and summer collections.
This year’s models for Burberry's spring/summer campaign includes 25-year-old actor/musician Jamie Campbell Bower who has appeared in "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones," and in "Twilight” (just a note of gossip he’s single now after splitting with Lily Collins).
There’s also Leo Dobson the lead singer in the indie rock band ‘Childhood, and model Callum Ball who has already walked the Burberry Prorsum menswear Spring/Summer 2014 shows in London and also starred in the brand's Burberry Black Label campaign.
The young ladies in the ad campaign are models Malaika Firthm who also walked the Burberry Prorsum womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 show and did Victoria's Secret fashion show, and she's supposedly the next big thing in the modelling world after Cara Delevingne.There's also newcomer 16-year old Jean Campbell who has fashion running through her veins, as she's the daughter of former Vogue fashion editor Isabella Cawdor.
The splendid Indian model Neelam Johanl and 18-year old Matilda Lowther are also part of the campaign and both debuted in the Burberry Prorsum womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 show in London
