What an amazing week in London! After the Hollywood stars at the BAFTA Awards and all the fashion celebrity at the Fashion Week, the Brit Awards 2014 show has attracted the top music stars into the capital as well.
It is well known that, when it comes down to the red carpet, one can't over do it at the Brits. And, when put all together, our pop stars and other celebs invited showed off more glitter than a firmament indeed. Sequin seemed to be the rule of the night.
Beyonce mastered the art of sequin by wearing a compact blue, long sleeved floor-sweeping gown fit for the pop queen that she is. However, Lily Allen surpassed everyone else by having a choice of two sequin based outfits: first a black and blue Vintage Norrell gown, then later a House of Holland cross sequin dress, fresh off last Sunday's catwalk at the London Fashion Week 2014. What do you think?
Jessie J properly turned heads on the red carpet wearing a seathrough Julien Macdonald jumpsuit paired with a lillac lipstick. We know she loves jumpsuits, and she was also one of the first celebs to try out the odd neon pastel lip look proposed by Prabal Gurung at the LFW runaway show. But did the look suite her? We are not sure she looked that comfortable in it...
Rita Ora didn't quite made a flattering choice with her bright yellow Prada gown, very tight and paired with green jewels that honestly, sorry Prada, looked a bit cheap.
Pixie Lott, on the other hand, looked just fab DKNY Resort 2014 white dress with asymmetrical slit, and Fearne Cotton gained back some style points in a shimmering silver dress, complete with silver stiletto sandals, which we thought was very cure and fancy, although it definitely gathered mixed review.
But the best and most original look was Ellie Goulding's in a baggie princess gown by Vivienne Westwood. We personally love the British designer and we loved how Ellie pulled it off by matching unusual pocketed pink dress with platforms, half loose sideways plat and almost bare makeup.
