'We all get dressed for Bill' says Anna Wintour in the forthcoming documentary about legendary street style photographer Bill Cunningham. Way back in the time before Facebook, style blogs and camera phones (we're talking, like, reeeeeally olden days here), there was one man who fearlessly took to the streets of New York on his bicycle, documenting the most fashionable, daring and exciting people he could find.
Now in his eighties, Bill has become the subject of a new documentary which celebrates his career and his body of work which the producers say 'is more reliable than any catwalk as an expression of time, place and individual flair.' Featuring cameos from some of New York City's most glamourous inhabitants including Wintour, Tom Wolfe, Brooke Astor and David Rockefeller, Bill Cunningham New York looks completely unmissable.
