Italia Vogue editor Franca Sozzani has long waged a campaign against the fashion industry for promoting anorexia by using emaciated models in ads and shoots. Now Sozzani has put her money (models) where her mouth (the front cover of Vogue) is, by using healthy looking ladies in her magazine.
Sozzani told The Daily Mail, 'Fashion has been always blamed as one of the culprits of anorexia, and our commitment is the proof that fashion is ready to get on the frontline and struggle against the disorder. Why should these women slim down? Many of the women who have a few extra kilos are especially beautiful and also more feminine.'
Let's hope other fashion big-wigs take note *optimistic face.*
