Be still our beating shoe-addicted heart
In what might be the most exciting shoe development since Christian Louboutin mused 'hmmm, black soles are a bit dull, doncha think? Why not pillar box red?', Selfridges have announced that they're in the process of creating the world's biggest shoe department, with floor space bigger than the Tate Modern in London.
According to Vogue: 'Due to open in September, it will be designed by architect Jamie Forbert and is - confirmed Selfridges head of press, Anna Ogundehin - the biggest project that the Westons have undertaken since buying the store for £628 million in July 2003. With exclusive designs on sale from a host of labels including Givenchy, Chloe, Stella McCartney, Rodarte and Alejandro Ingelmo, the area will house no less than six different salons and 10 brand boutiques.'
We never thought we'd say this, but... hurry up and finish, summer! Sorry, we love the sun and all, but autumn is the new season for fashion.
