Antonio Berardi, London Fashion Week

Hardcore fashionistas will remember Antonio Berardi for his celebrated platforms without heels. Original and bizarre, the creations were a favourite of celebrities with a fetish for fine footwear the world over.

To open his sensual parade at London Fashion Week 2009 however, Antonio Berardi's focus was firmly on the cone-pointed bustier which he blended in to almost every design.

Fine materials and uber-chic Italian styling gave away the Sicilian origins of the British born and raised designer. Mini dresses were so super sexy they spoke of ultra refined underwear evolved into a barely there evening slip and lace and transparency was a subtle nod to Haute Couture tailoring.

Colours were predominantly neutral aside from a grande final in black and an explosion of colour in the form of a cobalt blue trouser suit, lobster orange kimono and fiery red and blue tube skirts. Troppo bello! Check out the full show below.
