31-year old Anthony Vaccarello will be the new designer to collaborate with Versus Versace in 2014.

Vaccarello will be the third guest designer after Christopher Kane’s departure from the label as its full-time creative director in 2012 of Versace’s sister line.

Following Kane's farewell, Donatella Versace had announced that she would be inviting a new designer to create an exclusive capsule collection and keep the Versus digitally-focused and non-seasonal.

So there was J.W. Anderson who did a highly successive capsule collection based on "a man in a woman's wardrobe, and a woman in a man's", and then there was British singer and writer M.I.A. who did an edgy 19-piece range that was inspired by counterfeit Versace clothes, and was released in October 2013.

Now Donatella Versace has chosen the Belgium born designer.

Vaccarello is the 2011 ANDAM (Association Nationale pour le Developpement des Arts de la Mode) winner and award winner at the 2006 Hyères Festival International de Mode et de Photographie, and he designed for Fendi’s fur line under Karl Lagerfeld’s direction before creating his first eponymous ready-to-wear collection in 2009 in Maria Luisa, in Paris.

"Anthony's clothes have everything that I love: they are sensual, dynamic, daring. He is a natural, and has the confidence and talent to push fashion where he wants it and where it is relevant for today's women. I can't wait to collaborate with him, and to see Versus Versace through his eyes," said an enthusiastic Donatella Versace.

"I am so excited to be collaborating with Donatella on this collection for Versus Versace,” said Vaccarello in a statement. "Versace is a house that has always used extraordinary techniques to create its bold, contemporary fashion. I feel like we share a similar spirit, so for me it is a dream collaboration."

The release date of Anthony Vaccarello's collection for Versus Versace has yet to be announced.
