ACME Chanel

Chanel recently opened a pop-up boutique alongside its current store in Cannes which offers every visitor, whether dyed-in-the-wool follower of fashion or street bystander a chance to experience not only the luxurious, eclectic tastes of this season's Spring/Summer 2011 collection, but also minimalist, chic interior design and architecture.

Offering tailor-made services such as a nail-bar and make-up area, the streamlined, almost monochromatic housing for the highlights of the label's new look for the season boasts slipstreams of gold and brilliant metals against black accents, homage to the palette chosen for the collection, Wallpaper reveals.

As 'a nod to the [Cannes Film] festival - an exhibition space of Chanel gowns and suits previously worn by actors [was created], together with a private lounge on the first floor with views of the red carpet leading up to the Palais des Festivals.'

The most coveted articles of jewelry from the collection are the limited edition 'Camèllias', produced in overlapping circles of bronze and gold lambskin, made by label Lemarié and available within the walls of the new boutique.
