2013 Golden Globe Awards: fashion from the red carpet
The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards has seen a triumph of stars and beautiful dresses walking the red carpet. The big winners at the award ceremony that took place in Los Angeles were Ben Affleck's movie Argo and the musical Les Miserables. But which celebrity wore the best dress of the evening?
One thing is clear, when selecting our favourite outfits of the 2013 edition, we noticed which shade was the absolute winner: from the palest nude to the most vibrant coral to the tender blush, this year must have colour has to be pink. Besides classic black, which was redefined with golden accessories, white was another popular designers' choice.
Anne Hathaway looked gorgeously delicious in a white Chanel two-piece design. Simple and extremely elegant as usual, she topped it up by wearing a stylish pixie crop, which added edge to her look. Le Miserables co-star Amanda Seyfried was also stunning in her cream lacy Givenchy Haute Couture gown, which complemented her blonde hair and skin tone.
Abbey's Michelle Dockery was looking beautiful in a unique white and gold dress by French designer Alex Vauthier. Not everyone can pull out white, but the British actress really worked the style with her slender figure. Sexiest woman alive Megan Fox chose a body wrapping Dolce and Gabbana lace strapless number to wow the crowd.
New mum Adele collected Best Original Song Award in a Burberry black dress with embroidered neckline, while Taylor Swift looked absolutely amazing in a Donna Karan Atelier full-length aubergine dress. The choice of jewellery and hair-do was also sublime, a winner!
More lace for Emily Blunt's elegantly worn gold cut-away dress designed by Michael Kors. Radiant Heidi Klum proves there is life after a failed marriage in her stunning Alexandre Vauthier Couture white and gold asymmetric dress.
Jessica Alba dazzled the red carpet with a magnificent Oscar de la Renta strapless coral pink trumpet gown accessorised with a $5.8 million Harry Winston diamond necklace. One of our favourites of the night. What can we say about Jennifer Lawrence? The Best Actress was also a winner with us, by wearing another splendid strapless coral dress, by Christian Dior Couture.
Francesca Eastwood deserves mentioning for her beautiful vintage Armani white lace gown, although we are not too sure about the choice of occasion, it would have been perfect while walking down the aisle. Still astounding. Amy Adams looked superb in her Marchesa strapless pale blush dress, which gave her that vintage Hollywood look.
